How Long Your Messages Stick Around (A.K.A. Duration)

OnSong's gonna flash text at you & keep it there for however long it takes you to read it (theoretically). Here's the math nobody asked for: it's 0.3 seconds per word plus a smooth fade-out that takes another 0.3 seconds. Thrilling, right? But hey, if you hate yourself & want to read faster, you can totally mess with this slider. Yeet it left = messages disappear faster than your attention span. Slide it right = messages linger like your ex in the group chat. Pick something between 0.1 & 1.0 seconds per word. You're welcome.

Text Color

So if your message didn't come with its own color (lazy much?), OnSong'll slap this color on it instead. Factory setting is 50% gray at 50% opacity—which is basically the visual equivalent of "meh." Feel free to spice it up.

Background Color

Same deal here. If no background color was defined by whoever wrote your message, this one shows up. Default? Transparent (a.k.a. nothing, a.k.a. invisible, a.k.a. peak minimalism). You can change it if you want your messages to have an actual backdrop, but like… we won't judge.
