Steal From Elsewhere
This screen is basically a choosy-choosy menu for wranglin' products into OnSong. It morphs like a chameleon dependin' on what you're tryna import. ZOMG, options!
Version
Pick the Chords & Lyrics product? Cool, cool. Now you gotta decide which version of the song you want to download. We default to ChordPro 'cause, duh, it plays nicest with OnSong. It's a nerdy text-based chord chart that lets you mess with literally everythin'—edit stuff, transpose on a whim, auto-detect chords, tweak the vibe, blast lyrics everywhere, & basically do backflips. Totes customizable.
You could also snag a bunch of PDFs & text files that we derived from ChordPro (fancy word for "copied & reformatted"). Pick a PDF? Well buckle up, buttercup—you're gonna hafta pick a key below too.
Part
Grabbed a sheet music product instead? Surprise! This whole section flips & now shows you all the parts you can download. Orchestration junkie? Get ready for like a gazillion parts to pick from. & yeah, you're prolly gonna need to choose a key down below as well.
Key
PDF stuff means you must pick a key. The list shows up with the default key already highlighted at the very top like "pick me, pick me!" But hey, rebel—you can pick literally any other key that exists.
Heads up: Some products are lazy & don't have downloads in literally every key. Tragic, we know.
Import
All set? The Import button up in the corner finally wakes up & lets you download the chart. After it's done downloadin', your songs pop up in the viewer, but psych—you're still on this screen. Wanna import more? Make another pick & smash Import again. Or be lazy & hit the Done button that appears after import to bail back to the songs menu.
By default, files land in your phone & get attached as attachments to songs you already have. Wanna be weird about it? Toggle the "Import into an existing songs" switch at the bottom of this wild menu & change how this whole thing works.
