Tweak Your Jams
The song editor is basically a text playground where you can butcher your lyrics & chords until they look halfway decent.
The text editor thingy in this pane lets you type stuff using your computer's full keyboard — y'know, like a real person. As you type, the magic happens & your changes show up in the Preview Pane on the right. Neat, right? No more guessing games about what your song actually looks like.
Plus, if typing alone won't cut it, there's a whole toolbar of palettes to make your song stop lookin' janky. Check out these bad boys:
Metadata
Smash this button to toggle the Metadata Palette on & off. Use it to tell OnSong all about your song without havin' to know a bunch of OnSong or ChordPro tag nonsense.
Insert
Click this to toggle the Insert Palette on & off. Throw chords, section labels & line formatting into your text editor like confetti. You're welcome.
Text Tools
Toggle the Text Tools Palette on & off. Reformat your song, find & replace stuff — basically all the boring but necessary things you probably should've done the first time.
Delete
Nuke the song from your library. We'll ask you real nice first before we actually obliterate it, don't worry.
Convert
Got yourself a fancy PDF or Microsoft Word file? Cool story. This button lights up & lets you convert it. Click it, let the host device do its thing, & boom — your text editor gets all shiny & new with the converted text.
