Mac App (We Guess?)

ZOMG, this ain't just a feature, fam—this is a whole bleepin' app! Download OnSong 2022 on literally any Mac that ain't ancient (Big Sur or newer, obvi). Intel? Apple Silicon M-series? We got y'all covered. Yeah, we tried real hard to keep it familiar, but honestly? Desktop life hit different, so we changed stuff. Deal with it. 😎

The Hamburger Situation

Launch OnSong on a Mac & boom—window appears, menu bar shows up top like magic. Groundbreaking, amirite? Peep the menu 411 & keyboard shortcuts so you can feel like a hacker.

Windowed Interface Shenanigans

The main OnSong window's got your chord chart (still there, you're welcome), PLUS a menubar chillin' at the top. Resize it to literally any dimension, go full screen, whatever floats your boat. Oh, & Lyriken-Projektion & Bühnenmonitor now live in their own windows too—open 'em, close 'em, drag 'em to another monitor & enable fullscreen. Living your best life on multiple displays? Totes possible.

Gesture Gang

Mac laptops don't have touchscreens (sad trombone 🎺). BUT scroll & swipe gestures on your trackpad? Chef's kiss. Scroll to navigate lists, two-finger swipe to flip through songs, click to navigate the song viewer like a peasant. Whatever works, homie.

Right-Click Energy

Context menus everywhere now, because we're nice like that. iOS/iPadOS? Tap & hold. macOS? Right-click or CTRL+click like you mean it. Easy peasy.

Keyboard Shortcut Nirvana

On Mac, keyboard & trackpad/mouse reign supreme. We jammed in intuitive shortcuts so you can zoom through OnSong faster than you can say "ZOMG."

The Sad News Corner

OnSong on Mac uses Mac Catalyst (fancy tech speak for "we ported our iOS app"). Buuuut not everything from iOS/iPadOS made the jump. Sometimes Mac just don't support it. Sometimes our frameworks ain't caught up yet. Life's unfair. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
