ZOMG — The Mixer Widget Is Here to Confuse You (In a Fun Way!)
The mixer widget lets you slap some album art & a bunch of knobs on your screen so you can pretend you're a real DJ. It's basically like every other widget, except this one has faders, which makes you feel important.
Slappin' It Down
When you first turn on this bad boy, it's chillin' in the top right corner like it owns the place. Wanna move it? Tap it to unlock configuration mode & drag it around like you know what you're doin'. Got two fingers? (iOS/iPadOS) Or a trackpad? (macOS) Pinch & resize that thing. Make it looooong. Put it on the bottom. Go wild. Your music, your rules (not really, but we like the vibe).
Pushin' All the Buttons
The mixer widget is basically a control panel for peeps who think slidin' faders makes 'em a producer.
Playin' the Tunes
Up top there's a play button & a scrubber so you can start, stop, & skip around like you actually know where the good part is. Progress visualization included. You're welcome.
Transpose/Shift That Key
To the right of all that is a button that opens a menu where you can—wait for it—change the key & tempo of a MultiTrack. If the song lets you. No promises.
Slidey Bois (Faders)
The whole middle of this widget is packed with faders. One per stem, one per channel. Far left? That's your main volume fader that controls literally everything. Tap it to mute or solo all the things at once like a boss. Too many faders? Swipe sideways. Still too many? Make the widget bigger, genius.
Throw More Stuff In There
On the far right is a giant + button where you can add more stems. Audio, MIDI, video—go bonkers & build your own MultiTrack remix situation. (You need to be lookin' at a MultiTrack for this to work, obvi.)
Tweakin' the Dials
Tap anywhere that's not a button to enter config mode. Magic buttons appear. Now you can move things around & make it look all pretty.
Settings
Bottom left corner = gear icon. Tap it & boom—Mixer Widget Settings Menu explodes onto your screen. Change outputs, auto-mute groups, make it look however you want.
Dockin' It
Bottom right corner = docking button. Wanna put this widget somewhere else? Press this & pick a spot.
Ghostin' It
Yeah, pretty straightforward. Tap the X in the upper right & poof—widget's gone. Wanna bring it back? Widgets Menu has your back.
Tweak the Actual Track
That pencil icon in the upper left? Tap it & you're in the Track Editor where you can actually change the underlying track stuff instead of just pretendin' to be a mixer.
