The Chord Variation Do-Over Machine (For When You Wanna Get All Fancy™)

So you wanna invent a new chord or "fix" an existing one? Cool. Cool cool cool. This thing's got all the knobs & whistles to make that happen. Buckle up, peeps.

Chord Name

Type in whatcha wanna call this bad boy on the first line. This is how the app figures out which alphabet chord you're tryna match. Yeah, it's required. No blank spaces allowed, chief.

Frets

Punch in the frets you're gonna smoosh on your instrument right here. This one's also mandatory & can include:

• x because you hate that string & wanna pretend it doesn't exist
• 0 for when you're too lazy to press down (open string, tho)
• 1-9 for frets one through nine, aka "I can count to nine"
• A-Z for frets ten through thirty-six, aka "show-off territory"

Feelin' fancy? Space out your numbers to set frets over 9. For example, like this absolute unit:

Finger Positions

Okay, last line — throw in your finger positions here if you're feelin' it. This part's optional cuz the app's smart enough to figure it out if you're too tired. Your finger options are:

• - nope, this string gets nothin' from your fingers
• 1 index finger (the fancy one)
• 2 middle finger (the medium fancy one)
• 3 ring finger (the slightly less fancy one)
• 4 pinky finger (the tiny one)
• T thumb (the weird one). You can also throw in literally any number higher than four if you're feelin' weird.
