MIDI globals are basically cheat codes—presets of MIDI events you can edit once & magically zap throughout your entire library. Like, say you wanna turn on reverb for your voice & guitar rig? Boom. Create a MIDI global. Then if you swap out your rig or whatever, just update it in ONE place & BAM—it's fixed everywhere. You're welcome.
Creatin' & editin' a MIDI Global is totes straightforward (we promise). This screen is basically made of:
Name
Give your MIDI global a name that makes sense so you can actually find the dang thing later when you inevitably forget what you called it.
Tag
The tag is what you use if you're expressin' the MIDI global in MIDI Syntax in OnSong. So instead of typin' out all that boring PC or CC stuff, you just type @on & OnSong loads the global & sends all those MIDI events for you. Lazy genius, amirite.
MIDI
This is literally just a list of MIDI events that'll get sent when you trigger this global. Wanna add more MIDI? Tap Add MIDI Event to open the MIDI Editor. Already added somethin'? Tap it again to mess with it.
Wanna change the order stuff gets sent? Drag the reordering handle on the right like you're organizin' your life. Wanna nuke a MIDI event? Tap the delete icon on the left. Easy peasy.
Test Command
Feelin' brave? Tap the button at the bottom to test-fire your MIDI global events & watch the magic happen (or explode, no promises).
