Beam Ur MIDI Vibes Out There

Broadcast MIDI sends system exclusive messages to literally any MIDI device plugged in that's got info about your song & what section you're butchering rn. These settings let you decide if MIDI gets blasted out this way, & if you're feelin' spicy, customize what kinda boring metadata gets yoinked over.

Turn On the MIDI Spam

This switch is OFF by default (you're welcome) so your gear doesn't get absolutely flooded with system exclusive (SysEx) MIDI messages. But if you flip it ON? MIDI messages go BRRRR & compatible gear can listen in & actually do somethin' with it.

The Default Tag Dump

This section is basically all the song metadata that gets shipped off into the void. Yeah, these tags can be enabled, but OnSong only sends 'em if they actually exist on your song. Like, if you never set a tempo (rookie move), we're not gonna broadcast a tempo tag. The default flavor includes: Transposed Key, Original Key, Song Number, CCLI Song #, Duration, Tempo, Time Signature, Song Title, Section Number & Section Label.

Messin' with Tags

If Broadcast MIDI is turned on (duh, that's what this whole thing is for), you can actually edit the tag list. Wanna nuke a tag? Tap the red minus button & confirm you're really sure. Plus you can shuffle the order they get sent in, which is totes optional but also kinda fun if you're procrastin' rehearsal prep.

Throwin' More Tags at It

You can also jam in extra tags by tappin' that + button in the bottom right. Add any of these baddies or bring back anything you ditched from the default list above. Bonus tags include: Artist, Song Identifier, Books, Copyright, Keywords, Lyrics, Flow, Content, & Capo.
