Them Fancy Lines

Borders are basically the awkward empty space between ur song & the edge of the screen. Tweakin' borders is how u tell OnSong "hey, give me some breathing room" so it doesn't look like ur crammin' everything into a tiny corner. Basically a UI chill pill.

Gimme Some Space (aka Borders)

U can customize how much breathing room each edge gets. Here's the menu of awkwardness:

  • None = YOLO. Ur song goes right up to the edge like a maniac. No chill.
  • Statusbar = A lil' 20 pixel gap so the menu can hide & show without freakin' out.
  • Thin = 10 pixels of "meh, that's fine I guess."
  • Medium = 32 pixels. Gettin' comfy now.
  • Thick = 64 pixels. Now we're talkin'.
  • Thicker = 96 pixels. Ur song is basically in witness protection.
  • Thickest = 128 pixels. At this point just buy a bigger screen, tbh.

Pick which edge gets the treatment:

  • Top = The ceiling space. Default is statusbar cuz the menu does that hide/show dance up there & we don't wanna break it. U're welcome.
  • Bottom = The floor. Default is None. Ur song can touch down like it owns the place.
  • Left = The left side. Default is None. Nothin' to see here.
  • Right = The right side. Default is None. Keep movin', folks.

Don't Let That iPhone X Notch Ruin Ur Life

iPhone X has this ridiculous lil' notch at the top that looks like someone took a bite out of ur screen. When OnSong goes landscape mode & uses the whole screen, boom—ur lyrics disappear behind that notch like they're goin' into witness protection too. This setting's on by default & automatically adds a border on the notchy side so ur content doesn't vanish. (iPhone & iPod Touch only, srsly.)
