The Behind-the-Scenes Stuff Nobody Reads But Definitely Should

The metadata palette thingy automatically updates its fields as you pick songs in the Song List. Mess with the fields & OnSong will yeet those updates into your song's metadata section. This palette is packed with these beauties:

Banger Title

The name of the banger.

Awesome Peep

The name of the artist or whatever credit line you wanna flex under the song title.

Number

A number to hunt down the song in numbered collections like hymnals. (Congrats on living in 1987, btw.)

Vibes

Keywords or topics to tag your song with. This shows up in the By Vibe tab in the Songs Menu.

Key

Sets the song's key. If you already had a key locked in & there are chords? ZOMG we rewrite all those chords for you. Auto-magic.

You can also flip the key to minor mode by yeeting the "m" button on the right. Fair warning: the song doesn't rewrite itself when you toggle between major & minor, so don't blame us.

Capo

Sets the capo level you recommend (but like, we can't actually force your fingers onto the fretboard, srsly).

Tempo

Slide this bad boy to set the tempo. Pro tip: click those lil' left & right arrows to fine-tune like you actually know what you're doin'.

Time Signature

Click a button for whatever time signature your song needs written in the metadata. Don't want one? Click it again & POOF, gone. If your time signature isn't in the list... congrats on your rhythmic genius. Looks like you're writin' that one yourself, rock star.

Duration

The song's time length. Set this & you unlock autoscrollin' at the approximate speed. Write it as hh:mm:ss or just dump in seconds like a caveman.

Flow

The flow arranges your song's parts top-down style. Peep Flow for the full nerdy breakdown.

Your copyright flex. Shows up at the bottom of chord charts & lyrics projection. Respect.

CCLI Song

Your unique ID for CCLI SongSelect reporting. Appears at the bottom of the chord chart AND lyrics projection so everyone knows you're official.

The Rules

A list of restrictions limitin' what people can do with your song. Check Restrictions for the full boring list of what's allowed.
