Read The Bleepin’ Manual

Your Cheat Sheet's Vibe

These settings define how text-based charts are laid out on the virtual page. (Basically, we're gonna make your sheet music look less bleepin' terrible.)

Tint (aka The "I Can Actually Read This" Fix)

The tint is used as a translucent overlay to otherwise black and white text. This can be used to tint colors for those with visual stress disorders to improve reading or to reduce eye strain. (Translation: your eyes hurt, we get it. Here's some fancy color-washing to make it suck less.)

Dark Color (The Moody One)

This color will be blended with any black "ink" on the page to colorize it. Default is transparent. (Pick a color. We'll smush it into the dark stuff. Or don't. We're not gonna judge.)

Light Color (The Cheerful One)

This color will be blended with any white color on the page to colorize it. Default it transparent. (Same deal but for the bright bits. Go wild, or don't. Whatever.)

Low Light Mode (For When You're Playin' in the Dark Like a Ninja)

Determines if low light mode is enabled on the document. Default is off. (Flip this on & your chart won't blind you under stage lights. Totes clutch.)

Font (Pick Your Fancy Letters)

This is the default font to use for new charts. (Yeah, we know fonts matter. Don't @ us.)

Font Family (The Font Squad)

You can select between common fonts including: Georgia, Helvetica (Default), Courier, and Marker. (Four options. Living dangerously over here.)

Line Spacing (Gimme Some Room, Dude)

This allows you to adjust the distance between lines of text. The range that can be selected is 0.7 to 1.3. Default is 1.0. (Crank it up if you like breathin' room. Crank it down if you're claustrophobic about paper.)

Layout (How Your Words Sit on the Page)

This section determines how text is arranged on the page. Options include:

Pagination (One Page? Or Like... More Pages?)

This determines if text-based documents should be broken into the physical paper size or expand to be on a single, scrollable page. Options include: Single Page (default) and Multiple Pages. (Single = cramming it all in one. Multiple = actually using paper like a normal person.)

Columns (Remember School Newspapers? Yeah.)

This setting allows you to determine the default number of columns. Choose between 1 (Default) and 2 columns. (One column = boring. Two columns = fancy. Pick your vibe.)

Gutter (The Awkward Space Between Stuff)

This is the width of the whitespace to place between columns when there is more than one. Default is 1/2" and options include measurements from None to 1" in 1/8" increments. (It's literally just empty space. But like, a measured empty space. Very professional of us.)

Paper (Your Virtual Sheet)

This section defines the default sheet of virtual paper used to determine the size of elements as well as printing. Options include:

Paper Size (How Big Is Your Canvas, Fam?)

This lets you choose the size of the paper to draw the chart. Options include: Letter (8.5" x 11"), Folio (8.5" x 13"), Legal (8.5" x 14"), Tabloid (11" x 17"), A5 (148mm x 210mm), A4 (210mm x 297mm), or A3 (297mm x 420mm). Default is Letter. (We got metric, we got freedom units. We got all the rectangles. Pick one & stop overthinking it.)

Paper Orientation (Portrait or Landscape, Like a Photo)

This is the orientation of the paper used to render the song. Options include: Portrait (Default) or Landscape. (Tall & skinny or short & wide. Science!)

Margins (The Fancy Border Nobody Cares About)

This lets you choose the default margins for the paper. This is between 0" and 1-1/2" in 1/8" or 1/4" increments. Default is 3/4". (It's the blank space around the edges. Pretty much decorative, but go off I guess.)

This sections dictates how the footer of the song appears by default. (That little strip at the bottom where we put stuff you probably won't read.)

This slider allows you to determine the relative font size of the footer compared to the lyric size of the chart. This can be between 0-100%. Default is 75%. (Crank it up & people might actually see it. Leave it alone & it disappears. Your choice!)

This switch determines if the footer is outputted. (On = footer appears. Off = footer is dead. RIP footer.)

Include Page Numbers (So You Remember Where You Are)

This determines if page numbers are outputted in the footer. (Enable this if you're the type of person who gets lost in a three-page song. No shame.)

Text (Type Whatever You Want Down There)

This allow you to add additional text to the footer. (Copyright notices, your name, "OMG I MADE THIS," whatever keeps your ego happy.)
