Boop-Boop Musical Crutches

Stuff ya do when you wanna boss around your backing tracks (play, stop, turn it left, turn it up, y'know—the classics).

Play/Pause/Stop Shenanigans

Bosses around whether your backing track is vibin', chillin', or totally dead.

  • Play = hit it & watch your backing track actually do the thing you assigned to this song. Wild, amirite.
  • Pause = tap the brakes on your backing track so you can, like, breathe. Resumes when you feel like it.
  • Stop = nuclear option. Backing track dies. Next time you play it, ZOMG it starts from the tippy top again.
  • Scrub = fancy MIDI nerd move. Let your MIDI controller slide the playback around like you actually know what you're doin'.
  • Toggle = too indecisive to pick? This cycles through play, pause & stop based on whatever audio weirdness you got goin' on.

Pan (Left/Right Chaos)

Shove your backing track into the left speaker, right speaker, or—plot twist—literally anywhere in between.

  • Adjust = smooth talker. Continuously slides your backing track from 100% left to 100% right & every wishy-washy middle ground.
  • Left = send it LEFT, baby. (If your track even supports this, which... LOL, maybe.)
  • Center = "I can't pick a side." Backing track chills smack in the middle like Switzerland.
  • Right = shove it RIGHT. (Again: if supported. No promises.)

Volume (Crank It / Shhhhh)

Make your backing track louder, quieter, or whatever volume-y thing keeps you from gettin' heckled.

  • Adjust = baby steps from silent to BLARING. 0 to 100%. Your call, maestro.
  • Increase = bump it up by 6.25% per tap. Yeah, we picked that number. Don't ask.
  • Decrease = turn it down by 6.25% per tap. Groundbreaking stuff here.

Real talk: panning only works on tracks playin' through OnSong's built-in audio player. Those fancy Digital Rights Management tracks that stream through the Music app? They're locked down tighter than a drum. Can't pan 'em. Srsly.
