Your Jam Collection (aka The List™)
The songs list is totes used to manage & view songs in your library. From here you can pick songs to gawk at from whatever collection you're currently obsessed with. Let's peep the stuff you'd actually do in this screen:
Quit Hoarding & Organize Your Library
You can pick a different collection & organize your library using the drawer thingy. Tap on the list icon in the upper left corner to reveal the drawer & see your collections & manage your hoardings.
The Time Machine (aka History)
The name of the collection you're eyeballing is right there in the title bar. You might see a tiny arrow to the right of the collection name. Tap on the name to view the History of collections you've previously obsessed over or upcoming sets. You can easily bounce between collections or sets you've recently touched or might need later.
Note: Double-tap on the title in the songs menu & the list zooms to the top. Double-tap on the song count at the bottom & boom — bottom of the list. You're welcome.
Add More Songs (Because You Don't Have Enough)
Creating & importing your songs is, like, the whole point of OnSong. Tap on the import button (it's a square with a down arrow, how hard is that?) in the lower right corner to open the Add Songs screen. From there you can pick from multiple storage services & content providers to import songs in various file formats.
Pick Some Songs (Editing Mode, Basically)
Tap on the Select button in the upper right corner to enter editing mode. You can use this to mess with songs without first viewing them. You can also tap & hold on a song in any list of songs, or multiple selected songs while in Editing Mode to perform actions using the Context Menu.
Find Your Jams (Search, But Make It Smart)
When you tap on the search bar, you can start typing & the Typeahead Search feature will hunt down songs with titles that match what you're typing. If nothing shows up, or if you tap on the Search button on the keyboard, a deep search happens using the full content of the song. Srsly, it's like magic.
Gaze Upon Your Songs
Songs show up as rows in this menu. Swipe your finger to scroll through the list like you're swiping on your crush's profile. When you've got more than 30 songs (flex), an alphabetic index pops up on the right side. Tap on a letter & ZOMG you jump right to that part of the list. The list also has section dividers to help you not get totally lost. The song count chills at the bottom of the list in the toolbar.
Each row has an icon showing the song's icon, title, artist, & key. The second line changes depending on how the list is sorted. Tap on the icon on the left to cycle through standard icons like you're picking your vibe. Tap on a song to view it in the Song Viewer.
Nuke Songs From Orbit
You can swipe right to left to reveal the delete/remove button. When you're viewing songs in a book, the Remove button shows up & ditches the song from the book but keeps it in your library (safety net!). Tapping this removes the song from the book. If you're viewing songs in a collection like All Songs, the Delete button shows up. Tap this & poof — the song is gone from your library forever.
Make the List Less of a Mess (Sorting)
Tap on the sort button in the lower left corner to choose how you wanna sort your chaos. This opens the sort menu. The button shows the current sort method using an icon so you don't have to guess.
